Preparation items!

Hi all! :D
We both met today in order to travel to St Albans (by bus, although a train is preferred) to find some information leaflets or similar to do with Mt Snowdon and for equipment to take!
We produced a list of the gear we will require, including climbing boots, climbing trousers, possible hiking sticks and of course clothes to keep warm with since the summit is very cold even in the summer!
We visited an information centre to try find a book or leaflet, but to no avail, but we were assured some would be sent to the place within upcoming weeks!
Emmy has her theory test tomorrow, which she will pass! And Pat has his driving test next month, which will be much easier for travelling around!
Emmy also bought new walking shoes which were awesome :D And we discussed all these plans over hot chocolate in costas ^^
More to come when it arrives!

Busy times

Hi all,
It's been a very busy past few weeks for Pat and I, there has been a lot of work in preperation for exams and in Pat's case, work towards his A-level Drama! Even though our minds may be pre-occupied, we still have not lost sight of this mile stone in our lives. After I have sat my maths exam tomorrow, we shall start some training for the mountain climb soon after. We still have no idea what we may face when we come to climb the mountain, so we feel that we do some research together to really understand what we are up against!

Some more info!

Pat here!
Em discovered that snow may still be at the top of Mt. Snowdon even in July, but it apparently starts melting upon that time, so we may discover snow once we reach the top!
Em also discovered that it should be a grand total of 6 hours total up and down the hill, meaning we can conquer the mountain in just one day! Seems like it'd be over before it started!
Thats all the information for now, we'll keep updated!

Pat's first post!

Hi! :)
Em's already explained all the details well, and I certainly can't wait to defeat this milestone! I'll certainly be proud of its accomplishment! I know one of us will have passed, I should pass my February.
Although this event will big one of the biggest, the even bigger task is making sure we get the grades to go into university! Both goals will be achieved with maximum energy!
You'll hear from us lots as we venture the mountain and before we complete and after it!
We'll also have pictures to really capture the moment, hope you enjoy the ride!

The Journey Starts Here

Welcome friends to Em and Pat's blog about our progress to acheive a dream close to our hearts.
Come the summer of 2010, we shall climb Mount Snowdon! To us, this will be one of our biggest acheivements and something we can look back on and be proud of.
However, climbing the mountain is only part of it! At least one of us has to have passed our driving tests and saved up for a car, we will also have completed our A-levels along the way and squeezing in some preperation where ever we can!
We decided the the Summer of 2010 would be the best time to attempt this goal, because we would have had to acheive many things to allow this to happen. Though, our main reason is that we shall be heading off in seperate directions to persue different universities, different courses and different careers.
This challenge with provide us with proof that we can succeed at something we have never done before and learn new skills to enable us to accomplish a dream.

We chose to write a blog so you can follow us on our journey to fulfill a dream, to provide encouragement and words of wisdom and to share those moments of success along the way!

We both share the blog writting, so you'll hear from Pat soon!
Ta Ta for now,
Em
